Aaron Smith Hamilton, age 77, of Carrollton, AL passed away April 28, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, May 2, 2022 at Carrollton Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Heard officiating. Burial will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Frances Wheat; three brothers, James William Hamilton, Sr., Robert Earl Hamilton and Charles Hamilton and special daughter, Annie Ruth Young.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marilyn Lucas Hamilton; two sons, Randal Hamilton (Mary Faye) and Jon Hamilton (Angel); special daughter Saida Villanueva; two grandchildren, Haley Swedenburg Roberts (Ridge) and William Bailey Swedenburg; two great-grandchildren, Charles Graham Roberts and Jon Parker Roberts and a number of nieces and nephews.
Aaron was born July 26, 1944 in Eutaw, Alabama to the late James Walton Hamilton, and Hattie Crystal Heath Hamilton. He was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church and a retired employee of United Technologies in Columbus, MS.
Pallbearers will be Cody Long, Donny Noland, Chuck McDaniel, Bryant Ellis, Buddy McDaniel and Wade Warbington.
Honorary Pallbearers are the Mens Bible Sunday School Class of Carrollton Baptist Church, staff of Amedisys Home Health and the staff of Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
