COTTONDALE –Albert Ganus Goodman, age 95, died November 4, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Salem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of reform directing.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy H. Goodman; his parents; sister, Florence Wright and a brother, Monsee Goodman.
He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Goodman was born October 23, 1921 in Pickens, County, Alabama to the late Tommy and Sally Ann Farley Goodman. Ganus served in the United States Army During World War II and was stationed in Egypt and Saudi Arabia during that time. He later worked many years in retail management for Barton's Department Store and Top Dollar. He was very creative and had a love of history. Ganus had the best memory and never forgot anything! We loved him, will miss him, but know we will be reunited with him one day when Christ returns.
