Alice Pate McJenkin, age 97, of Columbus, MS and formerly of Gordo, AL died November 25, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Rutledge officiating.  Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens in Reform with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Emmett McJenkin, Sr.; son, William E. "Billy" McJenkin, Jr.; her parents; four sisters, Ruth, Ruby, Mattie Lou and Doris and brother, Clifford.
Survivors include her son, Larry McJenkin and wife, Charlotte of Columbus, MS; sisters, Lois Banks of Gordo and Roberta Moses of Columbus, MS; two grandchildren., Tina Moore and husband, Keith and Charlene Taylor and husband, Andy and five  great-grandchildren, Drake Moore, Ethan Moore, Matthew Moore, Ashlyn Taylor and Emily Taylor.
Alice was born March 29, 1928 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Thomas Jefferson Pate and Irene Maughn Pate.  She was the oldest living member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and a retired nurses aide for Bryce State Hospital in Tuscaloosa.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
