Allen Leroy Saxton, age 87, of Gordo, AL passed on April 24, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, April 28, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Long and Rev. Mike Bonner officiating.  Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Daisy Saxton; three brothers, Albert Jr., Gene and Wayne and sister, Doris.
Survivors include his wife, Lola Saxton; four children, Brenda (Greg), David (Beth), Michael (Stacy) and Steven (Kathy); brother, Bobby Saxton; sister, Gloria Brewer; eight grandchildren, Kyle Edwards, Tyler Edwards, Robert Allen Saxton, Caitlin Saxton, Courtney Saxton, Emberly Vanover, Keri Hosey and Lindsey Payne and six great-grandchildren, Logan Edwards, Jackson Edwards, Allen Rhett Saxton, Alayna Saxton, Adalyn Saxton and Lainey Payne.
Allen was born December 31, 1937 in Bentonia, Mississippi.  He served 21 years in the United States Army and 22 years in law enforcement in Pickens County.  Allen was also a member of Coalfire Baptist Church.  Allen and Lola were married for 65 years.
Pallbearers will be members of local law enforcement.
