Amelia McDaniel Freeman, age 70, of Carrollton, AL passed away June 26, 2023 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday June 30, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Boothe and Rev. Charlie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, James E. "Jim" Freeman; her parents and infant sister, Ida Mae McDaniel.
Survivors include her daughter, Melanie Harvell (Richard); two sons, Brian Freeman (Joy Hamilton) and Josh Freeman; brother, Charlie McDaniel (Betsy) and six grandchildren, Rachel Harvell, Luke Harvell, Gracie Freeman, Sadie Freeman, Kade Hamilton and Preston Hamilton.
Amelia was born October 7, 1952 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Charles Edward McDaniel, Sr. and Juanita Ruth Goodman McDaniel.  She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and a retired registered nurse.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Alderson, Christopher Alderson, Timothy Freeman, Randy Lee, Hunter Lee and Dillon Bridges.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tommy McDaniel, Denny Bridges and Steven Alderson.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Operation Christmas Child, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, P.O. Box 301, Gordo, AL 35466.
