REFORM | Andrew Jackson "Jack" Criswell, age 77, of Reform, died August 18, 2015. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Trey Reece officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015, at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Dewayne Criswell; his parents; two brothers; one sister; and a granddaughter, Heather McEachern.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Criswell; daughter, Joyce Pate (Robert) of Gordo, Ala.; son, Brian Criswell of Reform, Ala.; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Criswell of Columbus, Miss.; sisters, Jewel Mae Sutton; brothers, Walter Criswell (Diane) and Jerry Criswell (Patricia); four grandchildren, Brandon Criswell, Hunter Criswell, Aleah Criswell and Allison Parks; great- grandchildren, Katelyn, Will, and Haleigh; and a number of nieces and nephews
Jack was born May 14, 1938 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Caleb Dick Criswell and Mary Etta Boothe Criswell. He was a member of Ethelsville Church of God and a retired employee of Huyck Felt Company with 30 years of service. Jack was also a self-employed painter, a veteran of the U.S. National Guard with 44 years of service and a lifelong resident of Pickens County. Jack was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was very devoted to his grandchildren who all called him "Jack".
Pallbearers will be Hunter Criswell, Greg Criswell, Brandon Criswell, Benny Prescott, Eric Adams and Clint Kyles.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. James Parker and Staff, Dr. Douglas Hill and Staff and nurses, and Stephanie and Valerie of Brookwood Medical Center.
