She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, William H. Lang, Jr,; father, Dr. William E. Hill; mother, Faye Duren Hill and sister, Karen Lynn Hill.
She is survived by her two sons, William Henry "Bunky" Lang III of Carrollton and Bradford Hill Lang (Brooke) of Northport; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sartin (Chris), Brayden Todd, Gracie Lang, Jack Lang and Gabby Lang; great-grandchild, Rowdy Sartin; a host of nieces and nephews and caregivers, Janice Neal and Betty Lanier.
Annette was born November 29, 1946 in Pickens County, Alabama.  She graduated from
Carrollton High School and attended the University of Alabama where she received her degree in Medical Technology.  After starting her career in Montgomery, AL she moved back to Reform in 1976 and began working at the North Pickens Hospital and retired after 35 years from Pickens County Medical Center in Carrollton, AL.  After retirement, she and Bill built a home on their farm in Carrollton, AL where they lived until their deaths.  She was also a faithful pianist/ organist at Carrollton First United Methodist Church during high school and at Reform First United Methodist Church for 46 years.
Annette was a devoted wife to her husband, a loving mother to her two sons and "Sweet" NeeNee to her grandchildren and great-grandchild.  To know her was to love her.  Everyone that knew her described her the same way, "The sweetest person I've ever known."  She loved her Lord and lived her life every day to honor Him.  She was the epitome of a gracious, southern lady and first and foremost a caretaker.  No matter where she was, or what she was doing, she always made sure those around her were being cared for.  Even through the battle of Dementia she remained as pleasant as always and always had a smile on her face. She was devoted to her sister, Karen, who had Down syndrome, having to care for her after the passing of their parents.  She was a proud 1962 Carrollton High School Homecoming Queen, head cheerleader and was Miss Carrollton during her senior year in high school.  For many years she delivered Meals on Wheels with her husband and sometimes her grandchildren in Reform, AL.  Many people enjoyed her sweet potato casseroles each year for the Methodist Church's annual Christmas bazaar.
This describes Annette, 1 Peter 3:4 - "It should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."
She will be missed greatly by her family and many other friends.
Pallbearers are Keith Cox, Jake Goodin, Jack Lang, Lin Pate, Jordan Powell, Chris Sartin, Brayden Todd and Creagh Webb.
Honorary Pallbearers are staff of Amedisys Hospice, especially Nickie Hammonds, Haley Reynolds and Latasha Williams.
