GORDO – Annie Gay Shirley Reece, age 86, of Gordo, Ala., died June 10, 2016 at Sansing Country Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leonard Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Reece; her parents; brother, James Shirley; and daughter-in-law, Vickie Reece.Survivors include her sons, Jerome Reece and wife, Bonnie, and Jerry Reece; two grandchildren, Jason Reece and Jennifer Burt; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brylan and Cody Burt.Annie was born March 21, 1930 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Herman B. Shirley and Stella Elmore Shirley. She was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church, a retired employee of the Cap Factory in Reform and a well-known resident of the Gordo area.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers of Sansing Country Home, Tammy Kent, Juanita Colvin, Joynedda Gilkey, Easter McCaw, Jessica Crowell, Laketra Colvin, Doris Hughes and Vanessa Sledge.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice
