CARROLLTON - Audrey Mae Richardson, age 83, of Carrollton, Ala., passed away December 12, 2017 at Pickens County Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alicia Rhodes and Rev. Penny Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediate following service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jerry Donald Richardson, Sr.; daughter, Shelia Ann Richardson; her parents; and brothers, Olen Harless and Billy Joe Harless.
Survivors include sons, Jerry Richardson (Sharen) and Larry Richardson; sisters, Agnes Sanford (Bill) and Betty Campbell (Paul); brother, Danny Harless (Erma); four grandchildren, Joey Richardson (Karen), Jennifer Carr (Greg), Jamie Brown (Brian) and Jessica Garrett (Randall); six great-grandchildren, Caleb Carr, Daniel Carr, Jackson Richardson, Jase Richardson, Ellie Garrett and Beau Brown.
Mrs. Richardson was born January 6, 1934 in Carrollton, Alabama to the late ""Dan"" Buddy Harless and Hattie Acker Harless. She was a member of Carrollton First United Methodist Church, a retired employee of Westinghouse with 25 years of service and of the Pickens County Commission with 10 years of service.
Audrey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be missed.
Pallbearers will be Paul Campbell, Kerry Richardson, Elliot Richardson, Mike Richardson, Carl Durden and Richard Knox.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Jay Parker, Dr. Jim Gentry, nurses and staff of Pickens County Medical Center, Dr. Warren Holley, staff of Aliceville Manor Nursing Home and Dr. Danny Potts.
