Barbara June Ammons, age 77, of Carrollton, AL died December 7, 2019 at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Monday, December 9, 2019 at Franconia-Oak Grove Cemetery in Aliceville with Rev. Trey Reece officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be after the service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th Street NE in Aliceville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ammons, her parents, one brother and three sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Mona Matlock Sutterfield (Sherman); son, Billy Joe Matlock, Jr.; two grandchildren, Stacey S. Mayhew (Tim) and Ashley N. Sutterfield and three great-grandchildren, Cory Mayhew, Cayden Mayhew and Avery Sutterfield.
Barbara was born June 7, 1942 in Starkville, Mississippi to the late Francis Lee Rush and Mary Lee Haggard Rush. She was a member of Aliceville Pentecostal Church of God and a retired employee of Aliceville Cotton Mill.
