Barbara was born July 20, 1952 to the late Tom and Audie Whitley. She was a lifelong resident of Pickens County. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She lived a life full of love, kindness, care, and compassion. She was a devoted nurse for over 44 years sharing God's love and her deep loving, kind, humble spirit to everyone she cared for. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson Baylee, never missing an opportunity to support him in all his activities, especially baseball. She loved Alabama football, shopping with her daughters, spending time with her sisters, nieces and nephews. She was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a loyal friend and genuinely cared for everyone she met. She was a member of Disciples New Beginning Church. There is no doubt she was welcomed into Heaven by her loving husband, whom she has longed to be reunited with since 2020.
Thank you Lord for blessing our family with such a sweet, precious soul. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and care. Our hearts rejoice in knowing she is with her loving Savior, precious husband, and loved ones.
"…She is clothed with strength and dignity; her children arise and call her blessed." Proverbs 31: 25,28
