Barbara Elaine Roberts, age 92, of Payson, AZ, formerly of Fayette, AL passed away at Payson Care Center in Payson, AZ Sunday, May 12, 2024.   Graveside services were 10:00 am Friday, May 17, 2024 at Bethel Cemetery in Reform, AL with Bro. Adam Smith officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
Barbara was born July 7, 1931 to Roy Clark and Eloise Simpson Clark.  She spent her childhood in Pickens County, Alabama and Detroit, Michigan.  She met her husband, Hugh Charles Roberts in Detroit where they married in 1950.  The had four children before moving to Orange County, California in 1964.  She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family.  After her husband retired, they moved back to Pickens County in 1983.  They attended Stansel Baptist Church in Stansel, Alabama.  After her husband passed she moved to Fayette, Alabama to be closer to family.  She attended Unity Baptist Church while living in Fayette.
In her later years, Barbara moved into Morning View Assisted Living Facility in Fayette.  She thoroughly enjoyed her stay there and loved the staff.  She will be fondly remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor.  In 2019, she moved to Nampa, Idaho where she lived in Meadowview Assisted Living Facility close to her daughter, Amy and her husband, Joe.  In 2021, Amy, Joe and Barbara moved to Payson, Arizona to be closer to her son, Stewart and his wife, Noelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hugh Charles Roberts; daughter, Carol and granddaughter, Autumn Parkin.
Survivors include her two daughters, Diana Degenhardt (Dave) of California and Amy Hernandez (Joe) of Payson, Arizona; one son, Stewart Roberts (Noelle) of Payson, Arizona; one granddaughter; two step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
