July 22, 1946 – February 6, 2026
Barbara Ann Ammons Weaver, age 79, of Reform, AL died February 6, 2026 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Damon Rose officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Weaver; her parents and great-nephew, Spencer Shirley.
Survivors include her daughter, Kerri Keenum and husband, David; son, Charles "Chuck" Weaver and wife, Paula; sisters, Linda Shirley (Davis), Rita Dyer (Jerry) and Beverly Walters (Rodney); brother, Buddy Ammons (Jane); five grandchildren, Kana Thompson, Anna Keenum, Cameron Weaver, Chris Weaver and Caden Weaver; great-grandchild, Jace Pruitt; a host of nieces and nephews and special friend, Karen Guy.
Barbara was born July 22, 1946 in Carrollton, Alabama to the late Spencer Ammons and Mildred Ammons. She spent 35 years working with children as a teaching assistant in the Pickens County School System - primarily at Pickens County High School. She helped ease the journey for many students who struggled with school and life.
Barbara's joy in life came from God, her family and her friends. She was a longtime member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Reform. She loved flowers and could grow beautiful plants. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pallbearers will be Byron Shirley, Darron Shirley, Darby Shirley, Kevin Dyer, Caleb Walters, Cameron Weaver, Chris Weaver and Caden Weaver.
Honorary Pallbearers are Hunter Reynolds and Latasha Williams with Amedisys Hospice, former co-workers at Pickens County High School and Pickens County High School Class of 1964.
