Beatrice Williams Jenkins, age 90, of County Road 21, Gordo passed away January 28, 2021 at Forest Manor Nursing Home in Northport, AL. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Center Springs Cemetery with Bro. Glenn Kennedy officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family requests masks be worn and social distancing observed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Jenkins; her parents, Jesse and Prunnie Williams and her sister, Nell Hunter.
Born June 21, 1930 in Gordo, Alabama, Mrs. Jenkins was an active member of Elmore Center United Methodist Church and was much loved. She was a people person and loved cooking and tending to her flowers and yard.
Mrs. Jenkins worked at Westinghouse for over 30 years until the plant closed and then worked at Olan Mills in Tuscaloosa for over 10 years until she retired.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Driver (Ronnie) of Gordo; son, Kenneth Jenkins (Bettie) of Prattville; granddaughter, Tracey Robertson (Barry) of Buhl; grandson, Chris Driver of Coker; granddaughter, Ashley Prophett (Josh) of Wetumpka; great-grandsons, K. C. Driver and Jackson Driver of Coker and great-great granddaughter, Cecelia Childs.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Sonny Byars, Randy Burgess, Jack Pate, John Caldwell, Danny Caldwell and Lonnie Jenkins.
