Beatrice Prescott, age 92, of Kennedy, AL passed away February 3, 2020 at her home. Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Carrollton with Rev. Jeremy Woolbright officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Randolph Acker and Hollis Prescott; daughter, Vondell Acker Boyd; granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Vaughn; great-grandson, Malachi Vaughn; her parents; brothers, J. T. Welch, Valcus Lee Welch, George Lee Welch , Louis Cleveland Welch and sisters, Earline Lewis, Mary Lee Brown, Virgie Antol and Louella Beck.
Survivors include her daughters, Doris Tilley (James), Teresa Carver (Gary) and Charlotte Anderson (Timothy); her son, Robert Acker (Connie); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
Beatrice was born December 13, 1927 in Duckhill, Mississippi to the late George Virgil Welch and Trannie Lee Donahoo Welch. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Cap Factory.
