REFORM - Bertha McDaniel Brown, age 79, of Reform, Ala., passed away December 23, 2018 at Northport Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Kennedy and Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Katrina Jones Brown; and son-in-law, Bobby Parker, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Maburn Brown; daughters, Sharon Brown and Sherry Brown Parker; brothers, Bobby McDaniel (Geneva), Allen McDaniel (Shelby) and Jimmy McDaniel (Linda); in-laws, Ann Smith (Louis), Wayne Brown (Clarice), Lois Hammond (John) and Linda Sauls (Bradford); and grandchildren, Angel Brown, Breunna Brown, Kenneth Lark, Austin Burkhalter and Justin Burkhalter.
Bertha was born January 16, 1939 in Reform, Ala. to the late Wilson McDaniel and Frances Rozzelle McDaniel. She was a devoted and faithful member of the Friendship Baptist Church, a homemaker and well-known resident of the Reform community.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be sent to Friendship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 189, Reform, AL.
