Betty Jean Bealis, age 75, of Gordo, AL passed away July 27, 2022 at her residence. Memorial services will be 6:00 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Gordo with Rev. Geoff Elrod and Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Deborah Turner McClain and a great-grandchild, Aiden Lippincott.
Survivors include her hus- band, Richard Bealis; three daughters, Angela McNeely of West Point, MS, Michelle Langley (Mike) of Laurel, MS and Chrissy Erickson of Otsego, MN; two sons, Ronald Barnes (Rhonda) of Hamilton, MS and Joey Bealis of Meridian, MS; brothers, Larry Smith and Jimmy Smith; two sisters, Ernestine Polk and Mary Lee Oldham; nine grandchildren, Lindsey Betts (Ronnie), Meagan Britt (Dylan), Kayla Roberts (Blake), Caitlin Fitzgerald, Courtney Fitzgerald, Matt Barnes, John Ray, Brooke and McKenzie Bealis and nine great-grandchildren, Steven Betts, Bralynn Betts, Emily Davis, Adaleigh Fitzgerald, Kasen Downing, Kinsleigh Fitzgerald, Grayson Betts, Sam Fitzgerald and Aubree Fitzgerald.
Betty was born January 15, 1947 in Toone, Tennessee to the late William E. Smith and Gussie Moore Smith. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and a retired employee of H & R Block, Reform, AL.
