Betty Dobbs Carroll Sutton, age 82, of Northport, AL died June 27, 2019 at Hospice of West Alabama. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, July 1, 2019 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joyce Snyder and Rev. Deb McGaughy officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Edmond Willis Carroll, Sr; her 2nd husband, John William Sutton, Sr; granddaughter, Emily Hallman; son-in-law, Bobby Day; daughter-in-law, Cindie Carroll ; stepson, Charles Sutton; her parents and three brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Ann Day; son, Edmond Willis "Eddie" Carroll, Jr; stepson, Johnny Sutton (Debbie); two stepdaughters, Gail Alexander (Bob) and Pam Alexander (Bill); stepdaughter-in-law, Kelli Sutton; sixteen grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was born September 29, 1936 in Fayette, Alabama to the late Jesse Dobbs and Lucille Garrison Dobbs. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church in Vance, AL and a retired bookkeeper for Tri Co Oil Company.
Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
