Betty Eaves Dodd, age 76, of Ashville, AL passed away June 19, 2023 at Ascension St. Vincent's St. Clair Hospital in Pell City, AL.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, June 23, 2023 at Dogwood Chapel with Bro. David Blakney officiating.  Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens in Aliceville with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th St. NE in Aliceville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, George Rufus Boatman; sisters, Marie Rogers, Cora Hanie and Maggie Bowen; grandson, Billy Ray Boatman, Jr.  and niece, Angel Bowen.
Survivors include her son, Billy Boatman, Sr.; daughter, Betty Star Boatman;  brothers, Sam Eaves (Gloria) and Billy Eaves (Myrtle); sister, Gene Chapman;  grandchildren, Christine McKim and London Boatman and a number of great-grandchildren.
Betty was born October 1, 1945 in Geiger, Alabama to the late Jack Eaves and Mary William Eaves.  She was a member of Aliceville First Baptist Church and a retired caregiver.
