REFORM – Betty Jane Heritage Jacobs, age 86, of Reform, Ala., died February 8, 2018, at Arbor Woods Health & Rehab. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2018, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Blakney officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Jacobs; grandson, Bradley Scott Criswell; her parents; sister, Annie Lou Noland; and brothers, Sanford Heritage, Olen Heritage and Lester Heritage.
Survivors include her daughter, Dedra Criswell and husband, Mike; grandson, Jeffrey Criswell and wife, Tara; brothers, Harold Heritage (Christine), Willard Heritage (Joyce) and Edward Heritage (Betty); three great-grandchildren, Brantley Criswell, Carlee Criswell and Jacob Criswell; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friend, Martha King.
Betty was born September 13, 1931 in McShan, Alabama to the late John Sanford Heritage and Mary Jane Black Heritage. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church, a retired supervisor for Seminole Manufacturing in Columbus, Miss. and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Criswell, Jason Criswell, Frank Criswell, Addison Criswell, Ken Shirley and Gary Manning.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be sent to Mineral Springs Baptist Church, c/o Gary Manning, 401 1st Street N., Reform, AL 35481
