She was a lifelong resident of Palmetto, Alabama. She loved God, her family, her friends, her church and community family. She was always there to help someone, especially if they were down on their luck. She and her husband Joe were married for over 61 years. They were inseparable the last years of retirement. She was a quiet, shy person that was kind to all she met. The two months that she was in the hospital all of the staff loved her. They called her Miss Betty. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that all loved their Maw Maw. She wanted to go home. Now she is home with her Heavenly Father.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Unity Grove Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Judy H. Boler, 6511 County Road 3, Reform, AL 35481.
