Betty Boothe Wharton, age 78, of Ethelsville, AL died December 17, 2025 at Arbor Woods Health & Rehab in Reform.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Boothe and Rev. Rusty Walker officiating.  Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George Wharton, Jr.; her parents, Jackson Boothe and Willie Boothe Lowe and stepfather, Aubrey Lowe.
Survivors include her son, Brian Keith Wharton and wife, Cricket of Ethelsville; brother, Bobby Boothe (Joan) of Northport; two grandchildren, Daniel Wharton of Brandon, MS and Isaac Wharton (Eve) of Coalfire; niece, Heather Boothe of Alaska and great-nephews, Asher and Jackson Misquez of Alaska.
Betty was born October 1, 1947 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Henry Jackson Boothe and Willie Mae Burgess Boothe.  She was a member of Reform First Baptist Church and retired bookkeeper for Sullivan Supply in Reform with over 30 years of service.
