William Earl "Bill" Shepherd, age 68, of Northport, AL died Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Hannah United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gordo, AL with Pastor Rusty Selman officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. A short visitation will follow the service at the graveside.                                                                                                          He is preceded in death by his father, John Rufus Shepherd.                                                                                                                                He is survived by wife of 49 years, Sharron Fife Shepherd. Bill is also survived by his mother, Lendel Reynolds Shepherd; his two sons, Trenton Shepherd (Leah) and Jarrett Shepherd (Jessica); his five granddaughters, Kara, Evie, Wren, Drew and Eden; brothers, Donald Shepherd (Jenna), Mike Shepherd (Susan) and Jerry Shepherd (Susanne); sister, Patricia Hollingsworth (Dwight), and several nieces and nephew.                              Bill was a longtime member and deacon of Northwood Hills Baptist Church. He loved cooking, sports, and the outdoors, especially deer hunting and traditional archery. He was a retired draftsman.
