Billy Ray Bonner, age 77, of Millport, AL died March 5, 2019 at Pickens Co. Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am March 9, 2019 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Long
and Rev. Dan Finney officiating. Burial will follow in Arbor Springs Cemetery with Skelton Funeral
Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be tonight, Friday March 8th from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jerry W. Bonner; brother-in-law, Truman
Hardy and nephew, Jerome Hardy.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret A. Bonner; two sons, Jonathan R. Bonner and James M.
Bonner; three sisters, Maxine Gregg (Larry), Martha Hardy and Denise Driver (Roland); three grandchildren,
Grace Ann Elinburg (Jon) , Cole Bonner and Wyatt Scott Bonner; two great-grandchildren, Jon Caleb
Elinburg and Lily Ann Elinburg and a number of nieces and nephews.
Billy was born November 25, 1941 in Coalfire, Alabama to the late Linnes M. "Shorty" Bonner
and Alice L. Collier Bonner. He was an active member of Coalfire Baptist Church, a retired employee
of GenCorp in Columbus, MS and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
