Billy Ray Pate, age 81, of Reform, AL passed away March 23, 2021 at Hospice of West Alabama. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 26, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brannon Pinion officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Kelley and Peggy Hanson and brother, Robert. D. Pate.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Faye Pate; three daughters, Amanda Richardson (Kyle) of Eupora, MS, Sonya Pate of Reform, AL and Ginger Wallace (Russ) of Centreville, AL; brother, Bruce Pate (Glenda); sisters, Jean Duncan and Ann Coats (Wayne); five grandchildren, Corey Richardson (Julia), Drew Richardson, Kylie Richardson, Seth Wallace and Sadie Rae Wallace; one great-grandchild, Tinsley Raiegh Richardson and several nieces and nephews.
Billy Ray was born July 24, 1939 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Raymond D. Pate and Ethel Bonner Pate. He was the retired owner of Reform Auto Parts and a veteran of the U. S. National Guard.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Richardson, Russ Wallace, Corey Richardson, Drew Richardson, Seth Wallace and Shayne Pate.
The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
