Obituary

Billy Ray Woolbright, age 59, of Kennedy, AL passed away February 19, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.  Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2024 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Richardson of Palmetto; daughter, Melinda Cantrell (Haylen) of Palmetto; two sons, Justin Paul Woolbright of Gordo and Johnathon Ray Woolbright of Pontotoc, MS; brother, David Woolbright (Pam) of Palmetto; two sisters, Cindy Sullivan (Gary) of McShan and Tammie Windle (Dennis) of Reform and three grandchildren, Jacoby McCool, Kaylee Cantrell and Autumn Clayton.
Billy was born September 5, 1964 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Mayo Woolbright and Linda Hannah Woolbright. He was a retired road superintendent for the Pickens County Commission.
Entertaining was what Billy did best.  He was a gifted singer and musician and loved performing on the stage.  Billy could tell a joke or a funny story like no other. Even at his worse, he was still making us laugh.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers are his former band members and Butch Woolbright.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Baptist Memorial Hospital, 2520 5th Street N, Columbus, MS 39705.
