ALICEVILLE | Bobby Ray Hamlin, age 64, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 at Pickens County Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Tim Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Franconia-Oak Grove Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Dogwood Chapel. 200 5th St. NE Aliceville, Ala.He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Faye Hamlin Noland Brantley.Survivors include his wife, Bonita Hester Hamlin, of Aliceville; daughter, April Hamlin Cain (Danny) of Jasper; son, Matt Hamlin (Laura) of Aliceville; sister, Katherine Kilpatrick of Chicago, Ill.; brother, Larry Hamlin (Sharon) of Aliceville; five grandchildren, Katie, Kaylee, and Max Cain, and Ethan and Hailey Hamlin; and a number of nieces and nephews.Bobby was born June 22, 1950 in Eutaw, Alabama to the late A.C. Hamlin and Frances E. Williams Hamlin. He was a member of Aliceville First Baptist Church, a retired employee of Weyerhaeuser and a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.Pallbearers will be Andy Hamlin, Will Hamlin, Marty Kilpatrick, Danny Cain, Roger Brown, and Bryan Walker.Honorary pallbearers are Weyerhaeuser maintenance employees.The family suggests memorials to Aliceville First Baptist Church. 323 Broad St. Aliceville, Ala. 35442.
