REFORM | Boyd Frederick Edgeworth, Sr., age 80, of Reform, died July 22, 2015, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Louis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Gordo with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Willodene Dyer and Edna Morrow.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Edgeworth; sons, Freddy Edgeworth (Robin) and Jeff Edgeworth; grandchildren, Brent Edgeworth (Brittany) and Callen McHenry (Garrett); great-grandchild, Kacen McHenry; and his K-9, Benny.
Boyd was born on September 30, 1934, in Reform, Ala., to the late Benjamin Franklin Edgeworth and Lois Skelton Edgeworth. He was a retired construction worker with Local #92, a member of Masonic Fellowship Lodge #172, Order of Eastern Star Rachel Chapter 145, and a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Edgeworth attended church at Gordo First Baptist Church and was a well-known resident of Pickens County.
The pallbearers will be The Masons.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Reform Masonic Fellowship Lodge #172, friends of Jack's Coffee Club, members of Rachel Chapter #145 OES, John Paul and Trish Richardson.
