GREENSBORO | Brenda K. Duffy, age 59, of Greensboro, died November 26, 2014, at Hale County Hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shawn McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Backbone Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service.She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Christy Pate; and nephews, Korey Hines and Bo Duffy.Survivors include her sisters, Wanda Rogers of Tuscaloosa and Kathy Parker (Jeff) of Greenville, S.C.; brother, Bobby Duffy of Gordo, Ala.; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Shelby and Kip Ryan.Brenda Kay Duffy was born September 22, 1955 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Columbus Hartney Duffy and Doris Patrick Duffy. She was a former employee of Tuscaloosa Steel and a member of the Baptist faith. Pallbearers will be Holden Parker, Brian Lancaster, Josh Pate, Tommy Ritts, Kris Pate, and Jeff Booth. Honorary pallbearers are friends and staff of Colonial Haven Nursing Home, Dr. Dirk Berry and staff of Nephrology Associates of Tuscaloosa.
