KENNEDY - William Bruce Skelton, age 91, of Kennedy, AL died February 15, 2026 at The Crossings at North River in Tuscaloosa.  Private Graveside services were held 1:00 pm Friday, February 20, 2026 at Unity Grove Church Cemetery in Reform with Rev. Dr. Murphy Maddox officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mahaska Skelton; his parents; sons-in-law, Floyd Lee Shelton and Mark Stanley Keating and sister, Mildred Skelton Humphrey.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Kate Dyer Skelton; daughters, Sabrina Skelton Keating, Meta Skelton Criswell and husband, Frank and Yoma Skelton Shelton; sisters, Dr. Carolyn Skelton Horton and Marilyn Skelton Shackelford; grandchildren, Jade Criswell Maddox (Murphy), William Addison Criswell (Brandy Dyches), Meredith Lee Shelton, Robert Hill Keating (Emma) and Rebecca Leigh-Ann Keating and great-grandchildren, Genevieve Kate Maddox, Gabriel Hamilton Maddox and William Aiden Criswell.
Bruce was born May 22, 1934 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Robert Lorenzo Skelton and Ruthie Erline O'Bryant Skelton.  He was a member of the Methodist faith, a retired building inspector for the City of Reform and a veteran of the United States Army.
