Obituary

ECHOLA | Bruce Wallace, age 75, of Echola, died November 12, 2014, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Dunns Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Max Stripling and Rev. Alfred Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Paulette Hall Wallace; his parents and sisters, Dollie Mackey and Nellie McMillan.
Survivors include his daughter, Dawn Stripling and husband Thad; brothers, J. O. Wallace (Bernice) and John Wallace (Judy); two grandchildren, Dylan and Sawyer Stripling; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Bruce was born September 7, 1939 in Echola, Alabama to the late Monroe Wallace and Rosie Herald Wallace. He was a forester and retired from Weyerhaeuser and MidSouth Forestry Service. Bruce was a member and deacon of Dunns Creek Baptist Church and his greatest loves, apart from his family, were woodworking and Alabama Crimson Tide football.
Pallbearers will be Chris Lee, Bruce Lee, Dale Lancaster, Shane Spencer, Billy Patton and Evan Wood.
