Bryan Edward Thompson, age 66, of Aliceville, AL died May 19, 2026 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Garden Baptist Church, 10240 Highway 14 in Aliceville, Alabama. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform in charge of the arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clark Webster Taylor; his mother, Shirley Ann Locke; stepfather, Harold Locke; father-in-law, Charles Abston; cousin, Reuben Donaldson and uncle, Henry Donaldson.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Lynn Thompson; daughter, Shannon Thompson Peeks (Dale Fife); son, Justin Thompson (Stefanie); sister, Robin Thompson; sisters-in-law, Lisa Rye and Kaye Abston; brother-in-law, Jon Rye; seven grandchildren, Leah, Laurie and Lilly Thompson, Katie Cantrell (Tucker), Ana-Jo Peeks, Ali-Ray Peeks and Charlie Fife; great-grandchildren, Jackson Cantrell and Riley Cantrell; mother-in-law, Alice Faye West Abston; nieces and nephew, Kristen Bell, Savannah Young (Danner), Amelia Feddler and Jon Wesley Rye; great-nephews, Case, Briggs, Wells and Baker and special aunt and family, Evelyn Donaldson, known as “Sister”, Tebra Peterson (Ron) and Teliena Corder (Don); special friends, Leann Fields and Wanda Wright “G”, numerous aunts, uncles,cousins and many friends and his pet dog, Chris Rock.

Bryan was born July 7, 1959 in Butler, Alabama. He was a member of Garden Baptist Church, a cotton ginner for Summerville Enterprises and a CB radio and satellite technician for Dixie Electronics.
