Emil Day "Buddy" Spencer, age 88, of Carrollton, AL died July 22, 2025 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.   Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Carrollton City Cemetery with Rev. Alicia Rhodes officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Sammy Spencer.
Survivors include his son Sid Spencer and wife, Sharon; grandchildren, Kelsey O'Neill (Will) and James Spencer and four great-grandchildren.
Buddy was born June 12, 1937 in Gordo, Alabama to the late James Austin Spencer and Ruby Inez Shirley Spencer.  He was a member of Carrollton First United Methodist Church, the retired owner of Spencer Communications and a veteran of the United States Army.
Pallbearers will be Sid Spencer, Sharon Spencer, Tony Taggert, Ricky Alderson, Marie Alderson and Truman Burkhalter.
