Carolyn "Pud" Robertson Junkin of Gordo, AL went to be with her Lord on July 31, 2022. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Big Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordo with Bro. Trey Kelley officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
She is survived by her devoted husband and helpmate, Ronnie Junkin; loving son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren, John, Angie Clint and Maggie Junkin; sister, Helen Pugh; brother-in-law, Rayford Hallman and many beloved nieces and nephews
When Pud lost her parents at a young age, she went to live with her sister, Frances. Frances and Lewis made a place for Pud in their home with their own three boys. Pud is survived by Danny, Stevie and Kenny Junkin whom she loved dearly and thought of as her brothers.
Pud's love and devotion to Ronnie, John, Angie, Clint and Maggie were only surpassed by her love and devotion to God. She was an example of a Godly woman to all who knew her. Even in these last weeks, while her world changed so drastically, she had a smile on her face that came from a peace deep within. She was at peace with God, prepared for the journey ahead and anxious to see loved ones she had missed for so long.
Pud is preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Dora Robertson; brothers, J. C., Raiford, Joe Earl, Sherrill, Billy Ray and Lee Ed Robertson and sisters, Frances (Lewis) Junkin, Arnell Hallman and Betty Jo Robertson.
Honorary Pallbearers are the staff at Arbor Woods, special caregiver, Joanne, the ladies Sunday school class at Big Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Donations to the Baptist Children's Home at Eldridge or the Big Hill Cemetery fund are welcome memorial options.
