Carolyn McDaniel Pendley, age 86, of Jacksonville, FL died at St. Vincent's Southside Center for Caring in Jacksonville.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, July 7, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel Rev. Ralph Smith and Bro. Billy Jones officiating.  Burial will be in Arbor Springs Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil R. Pendley; daughter, Cynthia M. Nichols; parents, H. B. and Laudice Pate McDaniel and sisters, Sylvia M. Smith and Olivia M. Bates. Survivors include her brother,  Perry McDaniel (Fleta); children , Timothy E. Martin (Lisa) and Tammy M. Jones (Billy); grandchildren,  Kenneth E. Martin (Ashley), Stacey M. Smith (Jerry), Amanda L. Simpson, Bradley Lann, Julie B. Sumners (Jeremy), Vonda B. Dean (Gary), Brandy B. Keating (Jamie), John A. Jones (Megan), Caleb M. Jones (Lauren), and Damaris J. Kress (Scott);  numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Carolyn was born August 5, 1938 in Pickens County, Alabama.   She was a member of Shepherd Baptist Church in Fayette, AL.  While living in Jacksonville, FL, she attended Englewood Baptist Church.  Carolyn was an excellent lifelong seamstress and enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family and friends.
Pallbearers will be John Jones, Caleb Jones, Earl Martin, Kyle Honeycutt, Blake Dean and Jack Keating.
