ALICEVILLE – Carolyn Fay Spiller, age 83, of Aliceville, Ala., died November 26, 2017, at Pickens County Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017, at Aliceville First Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in the Sapps community with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017, at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin J. Spiller of Aliceville, Ala.; daughters, Edna Faye Stevens (Rev. Scott) of Demopolis, Ala., Martha Erline Taylor (Dr.Robert) of Frisco, Texas and Mary Jean Noland (Rev. Bert) of Sapps, Ala.; sons, Rev. Jay Arthur Spiller (Carolyn) of Brooksville, Miss., Byron Storey Spiller of Sapps, Ala. and Rev. Leslie Harvey Spiller (Traci) of Demopolis, Ala.; sister, Martha Storey Morgan of Birmingham, Ala.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Carolyn was born January 6, 1934 in Stafford, Alabama to the late Leslie Cecil Storey and Exa Faye Adair Storey. She was a member of Aliceville First Baptist Church and a retired elementary school teacher. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Grandsons serving as pallbearers will be Trey Stevens, Joel Stevens, Kirk Stevens, Grant Stevens, Ben Spiller, Braden Spiller, Coleman Taylor and Gil Noland.
