Our loving mother, Carolyn Gregory Tubbs, age 84, of Buhl, AL passed away March 7, 2024 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.  Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 10, 2024 at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Buhl with Rev. Glenn Kennedy officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bobby J. Wilburn; brother, Rolf Gregory and two grandsons, Jonathan Wilburn and David Wilburn.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Wilburn Hodges (Bruce) and Angel Pate Wells (Jamie); son, Larry Wilburn (Kim); daughters-in-law, Tricia Wilburn and Tina Wilburn; brother, Terry Gregory (Karen); sister-in-law, Loretta Gregory; four grandchildren, Jennifer Mitchell (Bill), Kerri Sutton (Chris), Kaila Walker (Tyler) and Jackson Wilburn and five great-grandchildren, Sage Guesnard, William Mitchell, Matti Mitchell, Hayden Walker and Raelyn Walker.
Carolyn was born December 10, 1939 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late Richard Taylor Gregory and Willina Channell Gregory.  Carolyn was an amazing woman who accomplished many things in her lifetime.  She was a strong matriarch who motived her children and grandchildren to reach their potential.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, great-grandsons and Raines Gregory and Jeff Gregory.
Honorary Pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, University Medical Center doctors and staff, members of Buhl Baptist Church, 6th Floor South at DCH, Patrick Toney, Savannah Strickland and her beloved nieces and nephews.
