Obituary

Ceavlon Latham, age 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 14, 2026, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church in Gordo with Rev. Scott Montgomery, Rev. Clay Latham and Rev. Earl Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Clyde and Ruvin Oswalt; her husband, Eddie Phillips; her daughter, Nina Foucher; sisters, Gwindle Phillips and Liz Swindle; brothers, Curt Oswalt, Donald Oswalt and Wally Oswalt and brothers-in-law, G. W. Phillips and Armond Swindle.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Rev. Tony Latham; daughters Tina (Pat) Wilburn and Sandee Latham, her son, Brian (Leslie) Latham; son-in-law, Mark Foucher; grandchildren, Tyler (Emily )Wilburn, Chelsea (Chris) Clanton. Phillip (Kendra) Sudduth , Camryn (Hunter) Beard and Clay Latham; sisters, Brenda Malone and Becky Grimes; brother, John Oswalt; sister-in-law, Glenda Oswalt; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to her family and friends. She loved to sing and play the piano. She would help anyone in need; if it was by visiting or cooking food and bringing to them. She loved her Lord and Savior and served him faithfully. She was a member of Glen Echo Freewill Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Wilburn, Chris Clanton, Phillip Sudduth, Hunter Beard, Logan Stephens and Gabe Stephens.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses and staff on 7th Floor at DCH for the outstanding care given. We would also like to thank our church family, Glen Echo Freewill Baptist Church and all churches and all the families who have prayed for her and our family during this difficult time.
