Obituary

Celinda Gail O'Briant Patton, our beloved MeMaw, left this earth for her Heavenly home on August 3, 2023.  She was 71 years old and had just begun a battle with Ovarian Cancer.  Memorial Services will be 3:00 pm Monday, August 7, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform with Rev. Glenn Kennedy officiating.  Burial will be held in Graham Memorial Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation for family and friends will be immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Patton was reunited in Heaven with her mother, Sarah Marguerite O'Briant; her father, Pervie Oneal O'Briant and the love of her life, Kenneth Roy Patton, her husband of 18 years.
She leaves behind her daughters, Erin Keasler (Brandon) and Kelli Shelton (Michael); her brother, Richard O'Briant (Rhonda); eight grandchildren, Triniti Patton-Shelton, Jackson Shelton, Whitten Keasler, Wyatt Keasler, Parker Shelton, Isabella Keasler, Gabriella Keasler and Sofia Shelton; nieces, Patti Patton,  Kristi Noland and Daphne Patton-Warner (Jim); nephew, Robbi Patton; great-nephew, Chase Noland; cousins, Janie Kyzer (David), Heather Kyzer and Eathen Kyzer and adopted granddaughter, Isabella Black.  Also missing her daily companionship are her fur babies, Pippi, Sparkle and Smokey.
In 1970, Celinda entered into the medical field, becoming an employee at DCH Regional Medical Center.  By 1975, she had obtained her nursing license form Shelton State School of Nursing as an LPN.  Her nursing career would span 28 years at DCH, with the last seven of those years at Gambro Healthcare as a dialysis nurse.  She loved taking care of her patients and made many friends along the way.  She was always proud of her chosen career as a nurse.  After retiring for medical reasons, her main focus became her family.  She was able to attend Grandparent's Day at school and countless ball games. Later on in life when it became harder for her to get around, she enjoyed family visits, loving every minute of each visit.
Pallbearers will be Michael Shelton, Brandon Keasler, Robbi Patton, Jackson Shelton, Whitten Keasler, Wyatt Keasler and Parker Shelton.
Honorary Pallbearers are Amedisys Home Health, DCH MICU, Manderson Cancer Center, UAB Gynecological Oncology, Pickens County Primary Care, David Kyzer, Eathen Kyzer, Chase Noland and Richard O'Briant.
