Chadwick Matthew "Chad" Marler, age 54, of Reform, AL died March 28, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Trey Reece and Bro. Calvin Hall officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 pm Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, John Matson Marler, Sr. and Marie Martin Marler and John Hopson Skelton and Lena Phillips Skelton; aunt, Luvenia Skelton Ferguson and uncle, Terry Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Christie Driver Marler; daughters, Brandie Nicole Marler, Kacie Morgan Marler and Kristen Richardson (Jeremy); son, William Stephens, Jr. (Trista); nine grandchildren, Kaelynne Ellis, Taedyn Hollis, Addison Lane, Garrett Lane, Katie Rae Richardson, Hunter Richardson, Emma Lynn Hope, Madison Hope and Skyler Locke; aunt, Deloris "Dee Dee" Marler Davis and uncles, John "Junior" Skelton, Jerre Skelton (Geraldine), Roy Lee Skelton and Marvin Ferguson and mother-in-law, Katie Driver
Chad was born July 24, 1971 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late James Matson Marler, Jr. and Martha Jane Skelton Marler. He attended Pleasant Grove Church and was a retired truck driver for Peco.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Pate, Todd Hall, Scott Driver, Jeff Driver, Steve Saxton and Simuel Latham.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Ethelsville Church of God Building Fund, 3896 County Road 75, Ethelsville, AL 35461.
