Charles Ray Ashcraft, age 92, of Carrollton, AL died April 16, 2025 at his residence.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, April 21, 2025 at Carrollton Baptist Church with Bro. John Gates, Bro. Robert Heard and Bro. Mike Griffin officiating.  Burial will be in Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Geraldine Barkley (Howard) and brothers, Robert Ashcraft (Lois), Lloyd Ashcraft and Jimmy Ashcraft (Janice).
Survivors include his wife of 71 ½ years, Betty Gates Ashcraft; daughters, Catherine A. Colvin (Hubert) and Dorothy Higdem; son, David Ashcraft (Kim); seven grandchildren, John Colvin (Kasey), Martin Colvin (Maria), Parker Ashcraft (Sidney), Marlee Ashcraft, Jennifer Coleman (Phillip),  Kimberly Higdem and Ethan Ashcraft; nine great-grandchildren, Mary Mack Colvin, John Colvin, Tyler Colvin, Lucy Colvin, Evan Coleman, Reese Coleman, Chase Coleman, Wyatt Ashcraft and Walker Ashcraft.
Charles was born April 11, 1933 in Palmetto, Alabama to the late Louis Newton Ashcraft and Lilly Sprinkle Ashcraft.  He was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church, retired Postmaster at Panola, AL with over 25 years of service and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Pallbearers will be the Ordained Deacons of Carrollton Baptist Church.
Honorary Pallbearers are Gerald Gates, Bobby Shields and Men's Bible Sunday School Class of Carrollton Baptist Church.
