Charles Tillman Byars, age 82, of Reform, AL died December 13, 2025 at his residence.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joey Lucas and Bro. Larry Shelton officiating.  Burial will be in Ethelsville Community Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Scott Byars; sister, Jimmie Nell McDill and brother, Rayvon Byars.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Brenda Byars of Reform; son, Ricky Byars and wife, Karen of Mobile; daughter-in-law, Monica Byars; four grandchildren, Ashton Ridgley (Blake), Randa Byars, Tegan Callaghan (Joe) and Tracey Tonsmeire (Keith) and two great-grandchildren, Paxton Ridgely and Jack Callaghan,
Charles was born April 29, 1943 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Hollis Tillman Byars and Dora Mae Price Byars.  He was a member of Stansel Baptist Church, a retired local lineman with Alabama Power Company with over 40 years of service and a veteran of the U. S. Army National Guard.
