Obituary

CARROLLTON - Charles Harold Davidson, age 88, of Carrollton, Ala. died April 26, 2018 at his home. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Aliceville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Edwin, Roy, Bennie, Lacy, Wallace and Newton Davidson and two sisters, Lorene Davidson and Margie Davidson Walden.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Revedoil Jones Davidson; his son, Gary Davidson and wife, Sue Ann; daughter, Pamela Davidson Hartley and husband, Danny; grandchildren, Holden, Lee, Raven, Chase, Jordan and Braden; and a number of nieces.
Mr. Davidson was born August 9, 1929 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late James Monroe Davidson and Fannie Cole Lee Davidson. He was a member of Aliceville First United Methodist Church, a retired employee of Huyck Felt Company with 30 years of service and a veteran of the United States Army. He loved and enjoyed the craft of woodworking and was an avid gardener.
Pallbearers will be David Gentry, Chris Miles, Brian Morris, Hugh Snoddy, Jason Junkin and Phil Fitch.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. William Hill and staff, Dr. Jay Parker and staff, staff of Tuscaloosa VA, Encompass Home Health and members of Aliceville First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
