TUSCALOOSA | Charles Edgar Quinn, age 80, of Tuscaloosa, died November 20, 2014, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2014, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Latham officiating. Burial will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley McGinnis; and stepson, Kenneth Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Smith; daughters, Elizabeth, Lori and Debra; son, Michael; stepson, Boyd Smith; sisters, Carlene Martin and Barbara Woods (Ken); brother, Richard Quinn; three grandchildren, Michael Hernandez, Chris Granado and Raymond Hernandez; two step-grandchildren, Jason Boyd Smith and Kristen Camille Smith; a number of great-grandchildren; uncle, Donald Quinn; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Charles was born September 3, 1934 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Charles Barksdale Quinn and Blanche Lyman Quinn. He was a member of the Baptist faith, a retired self-employed painter and a retired employee of Sleep Inn in Tuscaloosa.
