GORDO Charlie H. "Chuck" Skelton, age 65, of Gordo, died October 29, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel. Doug Bolling will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordo with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Skelton and Merline Maddox Skelton and Daddy Bill Hall and Mama Ester Hall; and his brother, Leonard Wade Skelton.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Skelton of Gordo, Ala.; daughters, Melissa Bolling (Doug) of Reform, Ala. and Denna Hall (Jack) of Buhl, Ala.; sons, Chris Skelton (Michelle) of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Shane Chandler (Nikki) of Gordo, Ala.; sisters, Hazel Lake (Billy) of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and June Smith (Elmer) of Samantha, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Gus.

Mr. Skelton was born February 7, 1948 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was a retired employee of B.F. Goodrich in Tuscaloosa, Ala. with 33 years of service.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Lake, Steve Smith, John Swiney, Blake Bolling, Lee Tilley, and Danny Wiseman.

Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren, Dr. Gary Ramdeen, Dr. Dirk Berry, Dr. Warren H. Holley and the Cardiology Associates of West Alabama, Dr. Quinton Matthews, Dr. Rekha Khurana, all of the other doctors and nurses that attended Chuck and the staff of DaVita Dialysis.
