Charlie Edward McDaniel, Jr., age 75, of Carrollton, AL passed away December 2, 2023 at his residence.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lynn Gibson officiating.  Burial will be in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Amelia McDaniel Freeman and infant sister, Ida Mae McDaniel.
Survivors include his wife, Betsy Snow Malone McDaniel; daughter, Christy Leigh McDaniel Payne (Scott); son, Thomas Edward McDaniel (Stacy); six grandchildren, Aiden McDaniel, Lauren Payne, Leah McDaniel, Marshall McDaniel, Layla McDaniel and Lacey McDaniel and a number of nieces and nephews.
Charlie Mac was born January 12, 1948 in Carrollton, Alabama to the late Charlie E. McDaniel, Sr. and Juanita Ruth Goodman McDaniel. He was a member of Marvin Chapel Methodist Church, a retired deputy for the Pickens County Sheriff's Department and a veteran of the United States Army.
Pallbearers will be Aiden McDaniel, Marshall McDaniel, Richard Harvell, Brian Freeman, Randy Hamilton, Steve Saxton, Josh Shirley and Michael Walker.
Honorary Pallbearers are the Pickens County Sheriff's Department and David Abston.
