Cherry Oglesby Austell, age 66, of Reform, AL passed away August 31, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 3, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Wesley Burkhalter, Rev. Gary Smith and Rev. Mike Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Graeme Patrick Austell.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Alan Austell; two sons, Jacob Alan Austell (Jessica) and Chase Adam Austell (Kellie); sister, Judy Diane Barnes (Robert); sister-in-law, Nancy Austell Thomas (Steve); grandchildren, Madison Noel Burt, Laurel Grace Burt, Hayden Austin Austell, Grae Harper Austell and Parker Austell and nieces and nephews, Michelle Pruitt (Jay), Dustin Thomas (Melissa), Brett Simpson (April) and Brook Simpson (Rudi).
Cherry was born February 19, 1955 in Reform, Alabama to the late Girlie Hill Oglesby and Annie Lou Harcrow Oglesby. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Reform and a retired teacher for the Pickens County Board of Education.
Pallbearers will be Roger Minton, Johnny Dean, Jerry Lowe, Dennis Pugh, Henry Helmers and Ed Heritage.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of the church choir and Roger Minton's Sunday School Class.
