Christine Estes Powell, age 89, of Gordo, AL passed away July 19, 2021 at her home. A private burial will be held in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Powell; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Powell; her parents; two sisters, Claudine Latham (George) and Karen Estes and special caregiver, Debbie Driver.
Survivors include her daughters, Denise Trull (Randolph) and Robin Edgeworth (Freddie); three grandchildren, Justin Trull (Kasey), Brent Edgeworth (Brittany) and Callen McHenry (Garrett); six great-grandchildren, Kacen McHenry, Eli Trull, Mary Powell Trull, Hadley Rae McHenry, Ann Parie Trull and Brentley Kate McHenry and special caregivers, Patricia Howard, Kristy Parker, Alice Parker, Mildred Skelton, Elsie Richardson, Malia Lowe, Umeki "Toto" Stewart, Annie Stewart and Sidney Simmons.
Christine was born June 3, 1932 in Gordo, Alabama to the late Claude Estes and Mamozell Parker Estes. She was a homemaker and member of Gordo First Baptist Church.
