Clara Mae Crowell Trull | Visit Guest Book

GORDO | Clara Mae Crowell Trull, age 86, of Gordo, died October 13, 2014, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Big Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Smith and Rev. Trey Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be tonight Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leon Crowell and Lee Virney Trull; son, Rodger Dale Crowell; grandson, Jason Lance Crowell; great-granddaughter, Faith Nicole Crowell; sisters, Minnie "Tiny" Trull and Pauline Clanton; brother, Raiford James and her parents.
Survivors include her sons, William Earl Crowell (Tona) of Gordo, Ala., Ricky Trull (Carol) of Gordo, Ala., and Joe Trull (Agnes) of Louisiana; daughter, Sherry Burgess of Northport, Ala.; daughter-in-law, Jewell Crowell Pritchett (Jimmy) of Gordo, Ala.; sister, Hazel Burns of Northport, Ala.; sister-in-law, Imogene James of Northport, Ala.; 13 grandchildren, Tim Crowell (Robin), Dusti Carpenter (Keith), Kim Thompson (Randall), Bill Crowell (Nikki), Sherry Crowell-Washington, Jerry Ray Crowell, Chris Burgess (Paige), Laura Thomas (Michael), Jon Burgess, Heath Trull, Summer Trull, Jody Trull and Scott Trull; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Clara was born July 20, 1928 in Alabama to the late Milton James and Hattie Mae Dyer James. She was a member of Big Hill Baptist Church, a retired employee of Westinghouse and a well-known resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Bill Crowell, Jerry Crowell, Tim Crowell, Roger Miller, Randall Thompson, Chris Burgess, Jon Burgess and Keith Carpenter.
Honorary pallbearers are Big Hill Baptist Church, ACCU, and 6th North nurses at DCH Regional Medical Center.
