GORDO – Claudette Felton Hardy, age 82, of Gordo, Ala., died September 27, 2017, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Sardis Methodist Church Cemetery in West Greene with Rev. Jim Robinson officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Hardy, Jr.; her daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Hardy; her parents; and sisters, Willie Mae Elmore and Ruth Weems.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Hardy Ray and husband, Randy of Gordo, Ala. and Sandra Hardy Clark and husband, Glenn of Macon, Miss.; four grandchildren, Crystal Ray, James Ray, Ryan Ray (Jodi) and Dustin Shea Clark (Kaitlin); three great-grandchildren, Ethan Ray, Elijah Ray and Abriella Ray; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Claudette was born April 10, 1935 in Aliceville, Alabama to the late Warren Felton and Daisy Pearl Ezelle Felton. She was a member of Sardis Methodist Church, a retired employee of the Pickens County School System and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
